Top Top Top Equity Market Tips

The market gained some strength after opening flat. The Sensex rose 74.30 points to 25412.88 and the Nifty reclaimed 7750 level, up 18 points to 7753.20.

Hero Motocorp, Bajaj Auto, Lupin, Sun Pharma, Infosys, Vedanta, Tata Power and UltraTech Cement were early gainers while ONGC, Adani Ports, Coal India, HDFC, SBI, Idea Cellular and PNB were losers.

The Indian rupee has opened marginally higher at 66.35 per dollar today against previous close of 66.37.

Indian rupee has opened marginally higher at 66.48 per dollar

The market rebounded on Wednesday after a sell-off in previous two consecutive sessions, tracking positive global cues post Federal Reserve Chairperson Janet Yellen's comments.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 208.93 points to 25109.39 and the 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 63.25 points to 7660.25. The market breadth was also strong as about 844 shares advanced against 138 declining shares on BSE.

Lupin, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma, Hindalco Industries, Vedanta and UltraTech Cement topped buying list in early trade.

The Indian rupee has opened marginally higher at 66.48 per dollar today against previous close of 66.54.

The Market Has Opened Off Today

The market has opened off today, tracking mixed Asian cues. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 10.54 points to 25348.10 and the 50-share NSE Nifty advanced 1.30 points to 7717.80.
Technology stocks rallied after strong Accenture results and full year guidance. Infosys, TCS and Wipro gained 1-2 percent.
Adani Ports climbed over a percent after a media report suggested that Adani group has offered 49 percent stake in the Rs 5,000 crore Dhamra LNG project.

Banks and pharma stocks were under pressure. HDFC, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and Tata Motors were down 0.4-1.4 percent.
The Indian rupee slipped in the early trade today. It has opened lower by 26 paise at 66.90 per dollar versus 66.64 Wednesday.

The market started off last day of the week on a positive note, tracking global and oil rally. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 79.40 points to 24756.77 and the Nifty advanced 21.65 points to 7534.20. 

Hindalco Industries, Bharti Airtel, TCS, ONGC, Adani Ports, Idea Cellular, Cairn India and Vedanta gained 1-2 percent while Lupin fell 2 percent on CLSA downgrade. Sun Pharma, HUL, Dr Reddy's Labs and BPCL were other losers.

Equity benchmarks started off Tuesday on a negative note, tracking tepid Asian cues. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 34 points to 24770.28 and the 50-share NSE Nifty declined 17.25 points to 7521.50.
Lupin crashed 6 percent on Goa facility inspection by USFDA. HDFC and Sun Pharma declined over a percent while Infosys, SBI, TCS, L&T, Axis Bank and Maruti Suzuki gained 0.2-0.8 percent.
The Indian rupee has opened lower by 11 paise at 67.22 per dollar against 67.11 a dollar in previous session.
Ashutosh Raina of HDFC Bank said the market would be keenly awaiting the outcome of crucial FOMC meet starting today.

The market has opened on a flat note again due to muted global cues. The Sensex rose 32.27 points to 24655.61 and the Nifty advanced 8.50 points to 7494.65.

The market has opened on a flat note | Morning Calls

The market has opened on a flat note with the Sensex rising 22.64 points to 24816.60 and the Nifty advancing 15.25 points to 7547.05.
Infosys fell 2 percent after 78 lakh equity shares changed hands in multiple block deals on BSE and NSE at around Rs 1,150 apiece.

Hindalco, Tata Motors, ONGC, Hero Motocorp, Tata Steel, Cairn India, Vedanta, Tech Mahindra and Tata Motors gained 0.7-3 percent while BHEL, TCS, HUL and Bharti Airtel declined 1 percent.

The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 67.24 per dollar today against previous close of 67.21.

Asian shares stepped back | Morning Calls

Asian shares stepped back further from two-month highs today following China's growth concerns and oil fall. Shanghai crashed 3 percent and Nikkei fell 1.6 percent. Hang Seng declined 0.6 percent.

After a smart rally, bulls seem to be tired and on a resting mode today. The Sensex is down 162.08 points or 0.7 percent at 24497.15 and the Nifty slips 42.05 points or 0.6 percent at 7443.25. About 650 shares have advanced, 983 shares declined, and 82 shares are unchanged.

GAIL, HUL, Maruti, ONGC and Lupin are top gainers while Hindalco, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and SBI are losers in the Sensex. Global oil and gas prices are likely to remain at current lows for several years, with oil dropping to USD 25 per barrel if Iranian production more than offsets supply cuts elsewhere, Moody's Investors Service said today.

The S&P BSE Sensex entered into negative terrain after rallying over 100 points in morning trade on Friday, led by selling in stocks such as HDFC, HDFC Bank, Sun Pharma BSE -0.90 % and Maruti Suzuki.

At 10.15 am, the index was trading 32 points lower at 24,575. The Nifty50 retreated after reclaiming its crucial resistance level of 7,500. 

The Indian rupee gained further in the early trade . It opened higher by 11 paise at 67.23 per dollar versus previous close 67.34.

Live Tips with Latest News and Free Morning Calls

The market extended rally on Thursday with the Sensex rising 183.31 points or 0.76 percent to 24426.29 and the Nifty climbing 52.40 points or 0.71 percent to 7421.25.

Hindalco, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, SBI, HDFC, PNB and Vedanta rallied 1-2 percent while ICICI Bank and GAIL fell on profit booking.

The Indian rupee has climbed further as it opened with a gain of 14 paise on today at 67.40 per dollar. It closed at 67.54 in previous session.

Mohan Shenoi of Kotak Mahindra Bank said, "Improved oil and commodity prices and pick-up in US economic data has changed the sentiment to risk-on."

"Dollar has weakened against commodity currencies and the rupee has gained against dollar on buoyant equity markets following the Union Budget."

Nifty soars 500 pts, Sensex up 1650 pts

In a super rally post Budget also boosted by strong Asian cues, the market is making mighty gains. The Nifty is up 500 points, Sensex rises 1650 pts and Nifty Bank surges more than 1500 points from Budget day lows  

After a super rally, the market seems to be gushing with buyers in last month of the financial year. The Sensex is up 397.05 points or 1.7 percent at 24176.40, and the Nifty up 116.25 points or 1.6 percent at 7338.55. About 753 shares have advanced, 69 shares declined, and 23 shares are unchanged.

SBI, ICICI Bank, BHEL, Adani Ports and Axis Bank are top gainers in the Sensex. M&M, Sun Pharma and Coal India are major losers in the Sensex.

The Indian rupee extended upmove on Wednesday by opening at 67.74 a dollar, up 12 paise compared to 67.86 in previous session. This consistent recovery is led by rally in equity markets on hopes of rate cut post pricing in Union Budget.

The S&P BSE Sensex gush over 200 points

The S&P BSE Sensex gush over 200 points in morning trade which led by gains in ITC, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Axis Bank and L&T.

The Nifty50 reclaimed its crucial resistance level of 7000 supported by gains in IT, oil & gas, metal, capital goods, banks, and auto stocks.

The broader market traded in line with the benchmark indices with the BSE midcap and smallcap indices rising 0.85 and 0.64 per cent, respectively.

The Indian rupee gained 17 paise in the early trade on Tuesday. It has opened at 68.26 per dollar versus 68.43 Monday.
